“We stayed at Skamania Lodge for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The weather was great, the staff was very friendly, and their outdoor facilities are exceptional. However, they had a real problem, finding our reservation that we made through Agoda. It turned out that it was entered wrong, and the issue was attributed to our use of a “third-party booking.” The service at the restaurant was very slow for the two meals that we ate there, and the food was average at best. The fan in our room was oddly noisy; my husband said it sounded like the fan in a cheap hotel. They sent someone up to look at it. He said that the fans in this part of the hotel were old, needed to be replaced, and it would take some time to fix it. When it was time to check out, I didn’t receive the emailed final copy of the bill. I checked at the front desk, and it had been emailed to Agoda.?!? Again, this was attributed to the use of our “ third-party booking.” I gave them my email address a second time, but I still have not received the final summary. We have used Agoda for a long time, and it has always been fantastic. If you’re thinking about going to Skamania, I would be careful about how you make the reservation, and thoroughly check the room fan when you first arrive.”

“It was cheap...but not this cheap. Next time I come to this area, I will pay a bit more and hope that I end up in a clean place. This venture is under new ownership and they have not found their stride yet. I wish them the best but they will have to work hard to bring this place up to industry standards.”
