“Just to be clear I travel for work and hockey the amount of time I actually stay at the hotel in the room is very minimal. I am not one for elaborate requirements. I see a hotel / motel as a place to sleep and shower. I often look for close proximity to where I need to be and the most cost effective option every time. For the money the Scottish Inn fit my purpose perfectly located close to the university and a 6 min drive to the Main Street in Potsdam. Rooms were clean no bugs anywhere the staff was friendly. An older motel style facility don’t expect a sandals resort but like I said a place to sleep and shower it is a good option for those that aren’t high maintenance. ”

“I stayed here on a weeknight for a work trip. It was a brief but very happy stay. I was traveling from 3.5 hours away and didn't arrive until 11:00 pm. When I had issues with the keypad entrance and called the number listed to contact, I was immediately and happily assisted, and the associate was able to address the problem remotely. Had everything I needed. I made myself right at home, using the refrigerator and helping myself to a bowl of Chex cereal available in the shared kitchen. I stayed in the Cedar room and was super comfy. Though the Inn is located on a busy road, I did not have any road noise in my room. Both my room and the shared rooms were spotlessly clean. I would happily book here again and would look forward to my stay!”
