“We stayed in a lovely old fashioned cottage with a deck with an ocean view. The cottage was roomy and charming, the kitchen well equipped. Our host thoughtfully made up the trundle bed for our arrival.”

“I stayed in the Albion and can't speak to the other cottages. Walking into the bungalow, you are struck with a beautiful view through 2 corner windows of the Mendocino coast. Just magnificent! There's a good sized living room, full kitchen and refrigerator, a small 4 seater dining area, a bedroom (almost entirely taken up by a queen bed) with a sliding door that opens onto a balcony and a full bathroom. I asked for decaf coffee ahead of time and that was waiting for me together with a small bottle of white wine from a local winery. There is no internet unless you connect to the property's wifi which is more than adequate - about 60 mbps in this bungalow. The bungalow temperature is controlled by a thermostat and a self-igniting gas fireplace. These are the plus-es. On the minus side, the balcony had no view to speak of at all, looking mostly at the exit road and the side of the bungalow in front of the Albion. (I think the view from the other bungalow balconies is better.) The furniture was old and very worn. The couch/ pull out bed in the living room was hard and not particularly comfortable to sit on watching TV. The biggest negative was my bathroom (but only the bathroom) was crawling with ants. When I mentioned it to the property contact they were quick to say they'll address but, unfortunately, it was time for me to leave before they could. (My fault for late notification to them). In all, it is a comfortable (not luxurious) stay in a spectacularly beautiful area at a reasonable price. It's a solid 3* accommodation in a 4-5* setting at a reasonable price.”

“The location and property is superb. The rooms and coastal views are unchallenged. What help they do have are fantastic but like everyine today, they appear understaffed. The amenities need replacement. The comforter, pillow covers and towels are showing major wear which is not expected in this type of facility. Being that it's still off season they nicely upgrated us very quickly...nice touch. Location is perfect for a relaxing stay but yet close to the town of Mendocino. ”

“After booking on Agoda I didn’t receive any instructions and the property does NOT have an onsite office. It was pure luck that another guest pointed us to go to the inn on the next block to check in. Otherwise we were happy with everything and the small bottle of wine as welcome gift was a nice touch. We enjoyed the firewood too.”
