“The 1st night in the hotel was great, the mattress was a little hard but then it usually takes me a few days to get used to a new mattress, so not really an issue. However, the 2nd night was not so good. We received a call on the room phone about 1030 pm which woke both myself and my wife up. It was the front desk asking if we were being loud, instead of coming upstairs to find out which room was making the noise. We both went back to sleep but my wife was woken by the noise that was still going on that the front end hadn't stopped. About 230 am I woke and could hear all the commotion going on so I said to my wife do you want to check out. We got dressed and went down and told the front end night staff we were. He checking out early due to the noise from the room opposite ours. He said sorry about that and that was that ! While we were sitting in the car outside waiting to go about a dozen or so teenagers left the hotel in various states of dress. My wife called when we got home and she spoke to someone and again told them why we He ked out early and they told her that a bunch of high school students had been staying there. She told my wife she would get the manager to call us back as she couldn't do anything about it. 24 hours later we are still waiting. This is the reason I have given the staff low marks that didn't even address the issue or call us back. The guy who checked us in Friday was excellent. ”

“Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Martha's Bed & Breakfast. The house has been beautifully restored, and the rooms were clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long while. The shower was hot and refreshing. The breakfast was okay...decent enough...fresh fruit, a pastry, some ham, and cheese. One cup of coffee - no offer of refills. They didn't have any alternatives for gluten free, but the staff did bring me extra fruit. My only true complaint was the rude and unprofessional check in experience - the man ranted about my having used a booking service and how complicated it was for them, how I should have booked directly with them, and that I should contact my congressperson to complain about the system. Like, hello?! I'm just your guest, trying to check in. Please stop taking your frustrations out on me! ”
