“I was pleasantly surprised to see that the carpet is new at this hotel (in our room). The pillow and bedsheet smelled fresh! My kids were okay to roll on the carpet! The place is off the highway within 2 min, but was very quiet. We stayed at Motel 6, Super 8 and Howard Johnson motels on this road trip to Florida, this one, although rated only 2 stars, is by far the best stay and is not a motel! It has an elevator and access from the interior! The pool only opens starting in April, so unfortunately the kids couldn’t play in the pool. For about $100US on a Friday night with continental breakfast (the waffle machine works!), getting a clean room , a not too noisy AC, and clean bed is a great value! The air from AC smell a bit but tolerable- it is like when you get in a car the smell you have when you first turn on the AC. The staff are very friendly and breakfast is all-you-can-eat unlike the Howard Johnson we stayed in Dunedin the breakfast lady treated us badly making us feel no dignity during breakfast. Although it is an older building but it is maintained well! Kudos to the hotel management and staff! I will recommend this hotel to anyone!”
