“So we do not regret staying here, but we did have an option between this hotel and a hotel that was down in the town by the beach. I will say next time I come to Catalina Island I will choose something by the beach because having to catch the golf cart shuttle just to go up and down the hill was a little discouraging. Like there are times when you just want to hop into the room real fast, change and hop back out into the city. you can’t do that here - you don’t have your independence and I’m a very independent person. You’re already staying on a secluded island. The hotel is secluded even further so it’s kind of a pain to maneuver. Also the refrigerator was broken. It started making loud noises in the middle of the night and woke me up. I got up and discovered it was leaking so I had to turn it off and put a towel there. And then there were some kids who were at the pool just cursing and using the N-word and they weren’t even staying there so they got kicked out. Definitely did not appreciate hearing all of that. The free breakfast was a plus. Again, I do not regret staying there. It was nice and the views were beautiful, but I rather have convenience over views. You can get the views without having to be secluded. ”

“This was our first time in Catalina (Avalon). Lots of activities. The staff especially Tiffany at the front desk were exceptional. I would definitely recommend this hotel. ”
