“Overall a great stay but I had some pros and cons: Pros: Great location (centrally located), very clean, basic amenities, free luggage storage. Cons (on our trip): water fountain didn’t work, thin walls (could hear yelling and doors slamming at 1am), TV basic cable (no streaming). I think it was the best choice for my price range and I would book here again. Definitely big enough for 2 people to stay comfortably.”

“Let me first start by saying if your going to Catalina you HAVE TO BOOK WITH THE PORTOFINO HOTEL! My husband and I go to Catalina 2-3 times a year and have stayed at a few vacation home villa rentals and some other hotels and hands down out of all those you couldn't beat the VIP treatment the staff gives you at this hotel. As soon as they found out it was my birthday they sent some champagne and a hand filled out birthday card to say happy birthday! They didn't have to do that and the kindness they showed and thoughtfulness really touched my heart! Also this hotel smells AMAZING the cleanliness of the hotel is 10 out of 10 the location is unbelievably convenient your right across a small street from the shore and sand under your feet. I can honestly say this is my new home away from home even over the villas and vacation rentals I've stayed at. Thank you all at the PORTOFINO hotel for making this trip one I will always remember I greatly appreciate you all! ”
