“It was a secluded place, quite different from the neighbouring houses and resorts in the area. The road leading to the property is quite narrow, as only one car can pass through at a time. At first, I thought it would be similar to the neighbouring houses and resorts. However, upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a small paradise like this existed. We were warmly welcomed and served a refreshing sweet mango drink. The staff assisted us with our belongings and accompanied us to our room. We had brought quite a lot of things, so I really appreciated the receptionist’s kindness and assistance. They also briefed us about the house rules and introduced us to the available amenities. When we entered our room, I immediately felt the cool breeze from the air-conditioning. The room had been prepared and cooled in advance, which was a big plus, especially since it was extremely hot outside. There were, however, a few things that I noticed. Unlike some hotels offering similar rates, complimentary slippers were not provided. The internet connection inside the room was also slow. Although there was Wi-Fi available, my device indicated that there was no internet connection. The bed and pillows were well arranged, and the bedsheets appeared clean and new. The bed was quite comfortable, making it easy to relax and sleep. I also noticed that some of the lighting fixtures needed maintenance, as one of the bulbs was not working. The bathroom, particularly the bathtub area, was quite slippery. The bathtub is made of tiles, and I almost slipped when I climbed down to try it. The shower also did not seem to have a functioning warm-water option. Whenever I tried to use warm water, nothing came out. The rain shower head also appeared to need maintenance because the water did not flow consistently in the intended direction. Some streams went to the left, while others sprayed in different directions. Despite these minor issues, the food was excellent. Dinner was great, and the Halad Restaurant was a wonderful dining experience. However, during breakfast, I noticed that some of the wooden plate holders had not been properly cleaned, as there were still food residues on them. On the other hand, the staff were very professional, accommodating, and courteous throughout our stay. Despite the areas that need improvement, I enjoyed my experience overall and would definitely consider staying here again someday. Thank you, Manggadiwa! “The people and views and beaches (there are two beaches) are top notch. Very relaxing. I just wish there were a library of board games, maybe some outdoor games (badminton or boules, perhaps) to supplement the relaxation. The WiFi, when in range, was excellent but it did not extend to our room which was on the outside edge of the resort. The Filipino food that is available in the restaurant is excellent, but there are no other restaurants around. We had a motorcycle and it still a long drive to any other food locations, and those are not dependably open. And there are no cocktails—only beer and soft drinks. We loved our experience but it could have been so much better. ”
