“Conveniently located after a long day of hiking. With limited food and drink options you kind of have to pay their high prices. Food at Pio Pio is incredibly good. We had the lamb duo and Fiordland venison with the pear goat cheese salad. Everything was delicious! Views from the chalets are breathtaking. The real knock on the place is the room gets very warm during the day even with the curtains and shades closed and stays hot through most of the night. They do provide a fan, but it’s warm until 3-4:00 in the morning. Would only stay one night next time. ”
