“This felt more like a boarding house. There were no staff on-site, and when I did call them, they were unhelpful. I stayed with my young daughter and I did not feel safe here. Entrance side is next to a bottle store, and inside the corridors and shared spaces smelt of cigarettes and alcohol. It was freezing cold, with moisture covering the walls. The bed was pushed hard up against two walls, which also had windows on both, so the bed linen felt damp. There were inadequate blankets and no spares, so we had to wear our warmest clothes to bed. The heater only let out a puff of warm air and didn’t heat the small room. The draughty from the windows was coming in faster than the heater could keep up. The shower (literally) took 15 mins for any hot water came out. I only persevered so long because I was desperate to get my daughter warmed up. Aside from all that, the batteries in the tv remote were rusty (probably from all the moisture), so we couldn’t watch tv. The room just felt icky. Wouldn’t wish anyone to have to stay here. I booked for 4 nights, but only stayed one. Appalled by the lack of care from the staff, and unwilling to refund a cent. Ended up booking another accommodation around the same price point and it feels a million times more inviting, and the shower, heater and tv actually work! ”
