“Lovely hotel, very comfortable beds & rooms. Lovely staff.”

“Room was relatively spacious and beds were comfortable. Staff members when checking in and out were very helpful and the brownies on check in gave a good lift. Also, shower design is perfect, allows you to turn on the shower and adjust the temperature before ever touching the water. Only downsides are that it wasn't as central as I originally thought (was basing it on the map when booking, when it's not very close to the CBD), the amount of parking available appears to be constrained vs the number of rooms available, and there didn't seem to be any security stopping people from roaming around the bottom floor of the rooms at night, but maybe there would be key access required to get inside the hotel to begin with at some point during the night. ”

“Our 1 bedroom apartment was spacious, the room was spotlessly clean & it smelt amazing as we walked inside. It is located on the main road into town,We stayed in room 3 not far back from the road & it was a nice quiet location with no roadside noise.The facilities & amenities are very good. Kitchen utensils & appliances look brand new. The owner,David, gave us a lovely welcome & told us about local places to get groceries & drinks etc .They have free wifi & even have a bowl of lollies in the room. Nice thick towels & toiletries are provided.It is a very comfy bed, the rooms have good lighting throughout & there is even an outside light.I am sure the ladies will appreciate when I say that there is even nice thick quality toilet paper <LOL> The 2 small things I would say are missing is an electric blanket & made up ice cubes in the freezer (an ice cube tray is in the kitchen cupboard but no ice cubes made up) but everything else is absolutely perfect. We would very highly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to stay in Blenheim.It was frustrating when we arrived to be told that we DID have an Agoda reservation BUT that Agoda did NOT pay the motel even though OUR bank account had bene debited SO we had to pay again & the next day spend a fair bit of our valuable holiday time sorting out for Agoda to give us our money back so it was rather stressful. We certainly hope any future bookings with Agoda do not get messed up.”

“We spent a night at Colonial Motel in Blenheim on our way from Picton to Kaikoura. Expected it to be pretty basic but the kind owner upgraded it to a 2-bedroom unit.. turned out much better than expected. Dedicated parking space directly in front of the unit. Stove, microvave, grill, and even a. Nespresso machine! Owner was super nice! Seems to be a family run establishment. They even have a pool but we did not have time to use it! ”

“True story, I believe the owner is not friendly. We had a really bad a very bad experience with the host. First to admit, when we booked the hotel that my wife lack of in-put guest number on our kids which they are 5 & 7 years old because she thought all hotels are free on using insisting beds. No excuses that was our bad to book this in a rush. We arrived at hotel already at 1am after get off ferry, and I forget to turn on my alarm at 9:30am. Then in the morning past 10:00am, the host was knocked the door so strong and shouted at us because we already past the check out time and still sleeping. Suddenly she saw we have two kids and asked for NZD 50 for them and sounds we are low quality and dishonest. We been apologized and paid 50 dollars but still hearing “a lesson” how to follow rules. She started cleaning the room and remove bed sheets while my wife is still packing. We shocked and felt she is really being ruled, no matter where we came from that simple respect and polite should apply instead of a high voice and attitude on face, still, we are your guest and this is a business. We won’t recommend here but we admit we had fault at first place, those maybe the reason on guided her to be act like that, but you can charge us on any penalty that we missed but the attitude and treatment is not what we deserved. ”

“Excellent location, and good value for the money. The only thing I point out is the bathroom is out of date and more attention to small cleaning details, like wiping off appliances and glassware.”

“Clean and tidy rooms, good kitchen with everything you would need to cook a family meal. Great size bathroom, beds comfortable and at the time we stayed, it was quiet. Bonus pub across the road for cheap meals and a beer.”
