“The Brakanes hotel has a lot of heritage and character. Room was spacious (I think we were upgraded a fair bit) with view of the fjord and the river, bathroom was very small and dated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is home to many tour groups. That has a significant impact on the atmosphere and I cannot say the hotel is a tranquil experience as a result unfortunately and breakfast felt chaotic. The staff works super hard to keep everything running smoothly though. Individual couples were seated separately from the tour groups, which gave some level of calm. Hotel is right on the fjord. It had a pool and a sauna and you can also have a private jacuzzi and sauna. Read: private, not privacy! It is still in direct view of all other hotel guests, so we elected not to use it despite the very reasonable charges. Electric cars can be charged at the hotel (Laddel app) or 20m away at a fast charger. Coop supermarket and a small snackbar are a stonethrow away. It is recommended to take a nice walk through the nearby Apple orchards with a beautiful view of the Fjord. ”

“The location and the views were spectacular. The facilities were good too.”
