“Had decent stay at Rio Suites . The hotel offers acceptable value for the price, but the facilities could be improved as they are somewhat lacking. However, the highlight of the stay was the staff—they were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the experience more pleasant. Overall, it’s a reasonable choice for a short stay, especially if good service is a priority.”

“Don’t know why anyone has any complaints. My stay was just the opposite. I had a beautiful room. It was clean with a big screen TV. I had plenty of hot water. No noise, I slept like a baby. And the staff was super friendly. And I do believe that was the rooftop bartender who came to my room with a bucket of ice to chill my waters and beer. Who does that? That’s A+ service. I highly recommend this hotel and will be going back myself.”

“Clean, great staff and service!!! 5 stars”

“I stayed at Hotel Lucerna in Tijuana for a five-day business trip in October and had a great experience. The service was excellent and the ambience very pleasant. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and their beds are among the best I’ve slept on. The housekeeping ladies are amazing, they always cater to your needs. The hotel also has a pool and a bar with TVs, which is great for relaxing after work. I always feel safe there, and its location near the border is very convenient. It’s also reasonably priced for the quality you get.”

“Bait and switch ! Agoda versus Hotel. Paid for my room category guaranteed by Agoda. Received email confirmation, receipt receipt, and in app showed confirmation of the room category that I booked. Regardless, I was pushed out of my room into a lower category room because of a booking glitch between 2. Agoda, 2. the hotel and 3. another party that the Hotel uses for booking. Instead of honoring my booking as agreed, and as I paid for through Agoda, the Hotel kicked me out of the room anyway into a lower category room… I booked the room appropriately correctly through Agoda. But I was still asked to get out of my room and step into another room even after telephone calls with Agoda confirming that my room category was correct. Why? Get this! Because my room category was still showing available on the network and people were trying to book it !! The hotel manager considered couples who wanted the Jacuzzi more important than a single guy already booked and paid in that room with the Jacuzzi!!! As a single traveler, I paid for the same room that other people wanted. I prepaid info therefore I’m entitled to it. But what did they do? They still stepped me down into a standard room. Claimed that I paid for standard room because there was a glitch in the booking system on their side with their agent that put me into a lower category room. Round and round… But through Agoda, I had the category of room that I booked.. what’s it going to do for me?”

“Clean, quiet and basic accommodations. Restaurant had some of the best coffee I've had in ages. Most staff were great, but when getting my deposit back it was short by $1, the lady got an attitude and then demanded I produce my deposit slip which she hadn't asked for before. I've heard others mention this in reviews so think it's a low-level scam, but other than that the place did the job. ”
