“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here because of how close it is to everything. It was 2-10 minutes away from every landmark in old Riga, which is very convenient because I could always return to my hotel for a quick break or to freshen up. The only downside during my stay was the lack of ventilation and the stench of cigarettes in my room. The tiny windows don’t open all the way making it difficult to get any air in, making the lingering smell of cigarettes much worse. The staff were very responsive and gave me air freshener but it still isn’t enough to cover it up. I understand that this is beyond their control as previous guests must have done it. I personally just don’t like the smell. Taking this aside, the other amenities were okay. The bed was huge and spacious. They provided towels. The WiFi was a bit slow and had a tendency to disconnect when I went to my room. There weren’t many people making it easy the bathroom whenever I needed to. The kitchen area was also fully equipped with everything you need, though I didn’t use it aside from refilling my water bottle. I’ve already been informed of this in advance, but there are three flights of spiral stairs you must go through to reach the place. Keep it in mind when bringing luggage. ”

“Modern renovated rooms in an amazing old building-this was a real. find. Breakfast was fantastic-they cooked everything to order if what you wanted wasn't on the buffet. And Alex at the front desk is an absolute star. They took our car keys and sorted the parking for us for three days (no on site parking available). The only downside is that their restaurant wasn't open when we were there-not sure why, but there are plenty of options close by. We had a standard twin room which was pretty small for two people, so I'd recommend going up a level if they have availability.”
