“ “The guesthouse is clean and the location is convenient. The room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable for a one-night stay. Staff was helpful when we checked in. Only small things: the wooden fence outside looked a bit unfinished/rough, and there was still some snow on the ground which made the entrance area slightly slippery. WiFi could also be a bit stronger. But overall it was a pleasant stay and good value. Would recommend for a short stop in Olafsvik!””

“We spent 2 nights in the hotel. We arrived on a strong wind day. And was glad to know the room was ready for us. I had separate bookings for the 2 days and hotel arranged for same room so that we need not move our luggage. Dinner was really good with nice view. Very pleasant serving staff at the restaurant as well. Enjoyed our stay. Our room was near the kitchen, could smell food being cooked in our room...”

“There were 3 people in our group. One got a 4 minute warm shower. One got 1 minute of hot water. The last got an all cold shower. We waited 30 minutes between showers. There was a note about this being a cold area but 5 minutes of hot water for 3 people is unacceptable. ”

“My favorite hostel in Iceland. Great staff, excellent rates, great atmosphere, with plenty of in-house activities, such as movies, live theatre, karaoke. Also a great kitchen, with all the pots, pans, silverware, dishes needed. Plus a refrigerator, stove, microwave and electric kettle available for use. Put the Freezer Hostel on your map, to stay at.”
