We spent 2 nights in the hotel. We arrived on a strong wind day. And was glad to know the room was ready for us. I had separate bookings for the 2 days and hotel arranged for same room so that we need not move our luggage. Dinner was really good with nice view. Very pleasant serving staff at the restaurant as well. Enjoyed our stay. Our room was near the kitchen, could smell food being cooked in our room...

The Fosshotel Hellnar is located seaside with stunning views both over the ocean and towards Snaefellsjökull glacier. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a lovely ocean view room, which made our stay that much more special. Big thanks to the amazing staff! The restaurant is worth going to for the incredible views and excellent service, but the menu is lacking both variety and imagination. The smaller plates and desserts were good though. All in all, highly recommended! Would love to return next time when in the area.

Conveniently located off the main road. Great views from the hotel. 5 minutes from Arnastapi village, near sites and restaurants. Hotel also has it's own restaurant. Clean room, smart TV a plus

Our stay wasn't terrible, but it was definitely one of the more uncomfortable stays we had in Iceland. The room had little privacy, being a ground floor unit where the window opened up to the secondary carpark. There was a black out screen, but because of the way it operated, we had to choose between privacy or airflow. The privacy screen was also very loud in the wind. Perhaps most uncomfortable were the scratchy sheets. Breakfast was one of the bigger spreads.
