“Hi booked non AC room for 2 days and we went on temple tour. I thought of taking non AC to experience a life without AC as we were for temple visit. And can enjoy th me free fresh air outside. But that was the worst decision I made. The non AC room was without window too. Non AC without window just imagine the suffocation. Requested hotel to change to AC room on additional pay or to change the room. Both denied. Also they were unaware about the booking made as they were struggling to check online bookings too. Even though I made a call the previous day over phone and confirmed. We reached by mrng and the water came like sewage water almost as dark as hair colour. Then we complained and later water came proper. They said it was tank bottom water and just imagine how good they clean the tank. The old man in the hotel who assist the receptionist is too much money minded and was trying to book cab for package without our confirmation. He was keen over his tips too. He was very rude in his talks when I checked with him over the ventilation part and suffocation. He rudely answered we can’t break the wall and keep window for us. There was no water bottle or soap or towel provided on the first day. Day 2 on request provided soap and 1 towel for two persons. He said there was no stock of soap the previous day. It’s a learning that we should trust the ratings. Location of the hotel is good. Room and movement area spacious. Gowri Krisna hotel in the ground floor is an advantage for good food. Nearby walkable distance many good temples were there. We checked in by 5 am on Friday and checked out by 5.15 am on Sunday . Flexibility of timings is appreciable. I confirmed with the hotel over this early checkin a day before too and they were fine with it . Management should engage professional trained staff for maintenance and execution. Otherwise property is good ”

“Location, spacious room, clean toilet, mini fridge, complimentary newspaper, 2 bottles of packaged water on the first day etc are plus factors which will encourage prospective travellers. Minus factors are denial of 24-hour checkin/out for online bookings, high charges for the child for additional bed, room charges, no complimentary breakfast, slow room service (yet to get soaps till checkout), expecting tips at each step, etc. At night, when you go to the wash room, there is terrible noise from outside and the wash room stinks when you enter it. Thank God, the noise and stink do not spread to the room. But both the noise and stink vanish in the morning, making me believe that they come from outside. Is it sewage treatment plant working at night ? Hot water never comes in the tap, with the result senior citizens like us have to take bath in cold water. When enquired, they told us to fill two buckets of cold water and then warm water will flow. In water starved State of Tamil Nadu, it is a criminal waste to do so and therefore, we took the bold decision of using cold water for bath. We have stayed in this hotel in the past for it's cleanliness, location, provision of dormitory accommodation and wash room for the driver. ”
