Very nice place with an amazing host! The room was nice and we received a very warm welcome Our host then insisted on helping us improve our plan for our stay and our visits which allowed us to have a very relaxing stay while seeing everything we wanted!

Great stay for a family

The hosts (owners) were very helpful and made this the most homely feeling hotel I've ever stayed at. They even helped plan out our trip and find restaurants nearby which were both affordable and good. The room was spacious with a living room and kitchen area (without the appliance, only a sink). The room was very comfortable and clean. They provided a kettle but no mini fridge in the unit, the host will put something in the main fridge if needed though. I did see a small wall lizard in the living room area but it was harmless.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful

We are from Bangalore and we planned visit some main temples in and around Kumbakonam. Initially we were skeptical on the home stay as normally, we book only hotels for our visit. But we looked at the reviews on the hospitality and we went ahead. At the end it turned out be really good, we had warm welcome and lovely interactions by the hosts Mr. and Ms. Balaji. It might be any time in a day, Mr. Balaji would there to address the request be food or any other inquiries about the temples, routes and shops. The main reason to go with Kumbakonam inn home stay to have peaceful, clam, home like feeling and sanctified feeling staying in such a holy place of many many temples. After checking hotels in the city, rate wise it be might similar or more than Kumbakonam inn home stay, but most of them have a BAR attached to it and or it’s too busy people talking all the time. The only small drawback is you need a vehicle to travel anywhere inside the city, as you stay few km’s ( ~ 2 ) away from it and it’s the reason we see calm environment with birds making sound. I definitely plan to visit once more may be once my younger child has grown up and also suggest Kumbakonam inn to friends & family to choose for staying. ரொம்ப நன்றி Mr. and Ms. Balaji - Naresh
