“Rooms are great, nice shower and excellent bed. Breakfast was very good too. Bar lacked atmosphere but staff were friendly. Spa was disappointing, couldn't book anything on arrival as after 5pm staff weren't trained in the system, 2nd day there was no one doing massages, I had specifically booked the hotel because of the Spa but only got to use the pool. Also, surprised had to pay an extra £7.50 for a Robe for the room, never known that before! All the main toliet cubicles were broken except one, that had no lock, I'd say attention to detail is the key thing here.”

“A really lovely stay here at Voco. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious and in very good good condition. Everything looked new and well designed. The staff were all friendly, the food was lovely and the chef serving breakfast, Christine, was very chatty and welcoming (whilst serving a lovely breakfast). The location is good, not too far from town and we visited Hinton Ampner, 15 minutes away which I would recommend. The spa is small but adequate. All in all, a great few days away.”

“Large hotel with small 15 mere pool, sauna and steam room. Good pillows and quality beds and bedding for a comfy sleep. Very quiet apart from the fire alarm that went off at 10:45pm one night - apparently a guest had accidentally set it off. Power cut for an hour at 11pm was bad. Nobody sent around to explain anything. The hotel is well used, so choose your time for the pool - baby group and aqua aerobics often make it impossible to swim. Breakfast good, lots of choice. Some rooms are a very long walk from reception - ask for a room near the spa and reception. Overall, a calm pleasant place to stay. 15 min drive into Winchester Town for the castle and Cathedral which are well worth visiting.”
