“Try the Italian down the road and the local pubs ”

“This is not the ritz. It’s a hotel that you just need to crash for a night or two. The things that counted were good. Pros: clean bedding, towels, room, carpet. Tv for company, heating that works, quiet and quite central. Cons: although cooked very well the English breakfast was pricey. Other than that no negatives for me. ”

“Hotel v.good (great breakfast) but please be mindful of lack of parking, hotel has limited space (@£7.00) although there is a multi-store CP nearby but access to it closes around 10:45pm.”

“Hotel is easy to find, free parking next to hotel. Side entrance from carpark is excellent and felt safe after dark. Room was large, pleasant and tidy. Radiator/heating was not on. Electric fire provided was broken.”

“We stayed on the island… requested a room over looking the lake and it was beautiful. Evening meal and breakfast was very good with lots of choice. A very historic hotel and the staff are happy to tell you all about it. We loved every moment and can’t wait to go back in the summer. Super hotel and staff.”

“Check in was very easy all the staff I met were vey friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It could do with more storage space, and hanging for towels in bathroom. It was a warm night but they provided a portable fan so it was fine.”

“Location is central enough and plenty of eateries around. Facilities are good, great bed, a sitting around and a kitchenette. Cleanliness was good. Good value for the price.”
