“Room was very spacious and clean and Quiet, and the bar downstairs has a very good Food Menu. Less than a minute from St Helens central Train station. The Staff were Very polite and FRIENDLY, would highly recommend and will be staying Again. 10/10”

“Was given the suite room at the back of the property, can access only by a flight of stairs, the staff was kind enough to help us bring some of the luggage up the stairs because we have quite a few pieces. A huge room with everything you need - fridge, coffee/tea, living area with sofa and coffee table, work deak area, big giant tv with netflix, etc. Great breakfast, great dinner too. We even got to bring our dessert up to the room and watch tv while having dessert. Only 2 minor things, the electrical wall plugs beside the bed are difficult to access to, hot water runs out halfway during shower if we use full strength of the shower spray, so turn the tap down to half and everything was fine. ”

“We stayed at lakeside Haydock to break our journey from Scotland to Wales. It was conveniently located close to the motorway without being on the motorway. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had a great sleep. It was quiet at night. There is a bar and restaurant next door which we didn't use, but it's only a short drive to St Helens town centre which has restaurants, takeaway and supermarkets. Great value for money and we would stay again. ”

“The staff are absolutely lovely and did everything needed so this is in no way complaint to them but this is as if Premier Inn have found any old disused roadside motel type building and stuck a Premier Inn label on it. It is like walking around a furnished container. Every single floorboard in that building creeks and there are notices up asking you to tiptoe around and keep quiet - nothing about this is a standard Premier Inn, there is absolutely nothing in the location although there is a nice area outside in which to sit to get out of the stuffy room and on-site facilities for a bar although separate to the actual hotel does serve breakfast and evening meals but isn’t open during the day just morning and evening. There’s also a very overpriced vending machine in reception which will do the kindness of selling you a Coca-Cola for £2.70 - or a small pack of M&Ms at the same price. I would not return here but it is not any fault of the staff at all. They did the best they could with what they have to work with. ”
