“Great find and a warm welcome from our host. So much more character than one of the chains, enhanced by hearing the history of the building. The rooms were very well appointed with all necessary bathroom products including body lotion, tea & coffee making facilities. Good breakfast set us on our way. Would definitely visit again.”

“Delightful old hotel with beautiful views of the River Wye. Clean and comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, prepared and served to a high standard. Staff work hard and exude an air of friendliness and capability. At breakfast we were served by the delightful 'sunny side up' Carol. This lady is a true example of 'hospitality at it's very best'. “The superior room provided an unusual stay. We were prepared for the winding,uneven staircase ,the rather tired decor but not for the workmen on scaffolding right outside the (half obscured) bedroom window. The bathroom had a good shower ,fitted with lighting, but the pedestal basin was rather high for washing and the room itself was tiny, and nowhere for towels. The bed was comfortable,the staff helpful and friendly and breakfast very good.”
