“Check-in - staff pleasant but didn't tell us how to get to room, when and where breakfast is, how to get to spa and opening times. We had to go back and ask. Room - clean with small fridge and tea and coffee. Spa - lovely and relaxing but more loungers would be good as there were only 6-8 at the main window. However views from spa were incredible Food - breakfast had lots of choice. Food in Percy French was just ok. Service there was very good, food bit disappointing Service - was ok but not exceptional. Hv stayed in other hotels where staff hv been intentional in asking how u are, how your stay is or just a short conversation. This unfortunately was not the case here. ”

“Harbor House was great. Great Staff, nice simple and clean rooms. Music on Sat night a bit loud if trying to sleep but off by Midnight. A wonderful local vibe. ”

“This was our first visit to the Burrendale and we did not leave disappointed. The room was very spacious and regularly serviced. Food was excellent and staff were very polite and helpful. Overall appearance of the property was to a very high quality. Hope to return soon. ”

“The Briers was a wee gem of a stay, situated a short drive from Newcastle town and Tollymore Forest Park, and enough into the countryside to be extremely tranquil. It seems to be flourishing under new ownership with exciting plans for development in the pipeline, so will likely be back to check these out (and because the Mournes are right there on the doorstep). The room was a good size with great amenities, and the included breakfast, although ‘only’ continental, was very tasty, with the capability to prepare boiled eggs, and a selection of cereals, breads, fruit, teas and coffees. The fresh yoghurt, raspberries and blueberries were a lovely (and tasty) touch. Thanks to Darren and the team for having us, and best wishes for what’s to come!”
