“A fabulous property with a lovely host, Alison. Should you want to stay somewhere with a story to tell, we can recommend here. The bedroom was large and comfortable with tea, coffee and fresh milk. Our only small critisism was breakfast; our idea of a continental breakfast differed from expectations and would have expected, from the cost of the stay, fresh bread (rather than supermarket plastic sliced) and perhaps cheese and fruits. That really was the only niggle. Other than that, our stay was relaxing, interesting and just what we needed.”

“The little village is beautiful and I had a very cozy room with a massive bathroom. The bed was amazing! The pub below is also great and always had patrons. I loved how quite and cozy it was.”

“This room was good for Matlock bath only having to walk down the hill to the restaurants and pubs shops ect. Room had most things although no view as skylark window and no fridge for cold drinks. Room was adequate for our needs and would use again although a used razor was left in our shower and the room could do with the cobwebs removing but they was high on ceiling. ”
