“Grim's Dyke has a very impressive exterior and grounds. The main building is a beautiful period property with lots of character inside and out. Staff very friendly and helpful. The actual rooms in the separate building however are very tired and in need of rejuvenation. Room was cold on arrival and you can see daylight in between some of the window frames. Heating did kick in and was boosted by the manager when we mentioned it at reception. Beds were comfy, shower very underpowered. Clean enough and excellent breakfast, surroundings, location and parking all great, but would be vastly improved by renovating the rooms.”

“They didnt offer Breakfast even though the Breakfast was included as per the the listing.”

“Everything perfectly done. 🥰 ”

“Host very friendly. Room 7 was lovely, clean and modern. Plenty of wardrobe and shelving space for clothes. Bed was comfy. Large full size mirror and lovely bright lighting. Table & 1 chair, TV & heating if you need it. Bathroom clean & modern with hand wash, a couple of toilet rolls, toiletry sachets & 1 towel each. Could be difficult for any larger person to sit on the toilet though, its very close to the sink as the bathroom is very small. Nice hot water from the shower. Small fridge freezer and microwave in the bedroom. Would have been nice though to have a kettle & cups in our room. Great little set up downstairs - Shared kitchen with 2 ovens, 2 sinks, Toasters, tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, pastries, fruit, etc, plenty for everyone to help themselves to some breakfast. The only slight negative was that sound proofing wasn't great. We could hear other people's TV & them snoring & walking about. I would suggest they change the toilet seat as this doesn't fit the toilet & the toilet brush on display full of bits and dirt, maybe get a toilet brush with a cover. These 2 minor things, not a great look, especially when everything else looks so nice and modern. I think the closure on the bedroom fire door needs looking at too, because it slams shut when you go out. I would recommend & would stay there again”
