“The hotel is set in lovely grounds but in places it is starting to look a little tired. We were told there will be some updating of facilities in due course. Our room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was nice although the toilet seat was falling off. Overall adequate for our one night stay.”

“The room wash hand sink is not working. The water is not flushing.”

“Booking was simple, friendly and helpful staff, good size car park, breakfast included and good beer. Sadly I arrived too late to experience dinner service but good full English breakfast cooked to order and not served under a heated counter. ”

“We needed a base for a birthday celebration, and The King's Chamber was the perfect location, We were able to see family and enjoy ourselves at the same time. ”

“We stayed for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. We had a lovely room and the beds were very comfortable. The curtains were great at blocking out daylight. Room came with a mini fridge too which was great for drinks. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Reception were very helpful too. ”

“Great place, good location, helpful staff ”

“Relaxing and spacious.”

“Very pleasant greeting upon arrival and staff continued to be friendly and helpful throughout our interactions. Perfect hotel for a night's stay, room clean and spacious with lovely views towards the racetrack. The bed was a bit of a let down as although there was a soft mattress topper, the bed felt hard and 'springy', which is not in line with Hilton's quality. The shower was not very powerful and the sound proofing in the rooms was not enough to block out the sound of the boy racers speeding up and down the roads outside the hotel, of the stopping of guests in the room above. The lobby whilst bright and spacious was completely overtaken with the smell of smoke each time we went through, guests seem to smoke directly in front of the door and this permeates the whole area. Generally good value for money although disappointed that had to pay on top for parking (perhaps I missed the small print? ) as I feel that for overnight guests parking should be included in the rate. ”
