“The hotel room itself was clean and tidy but the bathroom is very tired and damaged The bath is chipped a hundred times by it seems the shower tap dropping off into bath which it did whilst we were there and its very heavy No a new problem so should be resolved and room should not be let again until its fixed . The sink was also cracked so the bathroom really let the hotel and room down ( I did mention to staff when we left)”

“Arrived around 9pm, worried it would be a difficult check in but it was nice and easy. Put the number plate in at the bar, friendly staff showed me around and offered to help with the bags. Narrow stairs up but had light luggage so no problem. Lots of lovely snacks in the room, and a mini fridge! Was a bit stuffy in the room, but there was a fan. Would definitely stay again, wish I was staying longer! 😊🩷”

“Ambiance and quality of furnishings combined with spacious bedroom and bathroom make this a must for a relaxing overnight stay. Likewise staff were welcoming and friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were above what we expected and were of good quality and extremely tasty. Nothing was too much trouble.”

“One night stay. Despite reserving a table, before arrival, the evening meal was disappointing. Several choices no longer available; preference seemed to have been given to 'drop ins' dining outside (as nice day). Service a bit slow and wine not chilled properly. ”

“This was my second year staying here once again proving to be the perfect location for the tough 36k Dirty Rotten Scramble trail run at nearby Hole Park, the room was quite and the bed comfortable for an important good nights sleep and the breakfast was plentiful enough though I did eat mine for supper as opposed to pre race, I was please that the wifi was in good working order this year after not being able to access it this year, the only slight problem was the plug was stuck in the sink in my bathroom which obviously needs mending ”
