“Entrance not as pictured but rooms are ok”

“With an investment of funds thus firmer Pub could be a little gem. The owner is a just a guy trying to make a living , everything is there to make this place go but it just falls short, road noise is significant but heavy blackout curtains would go along way to solve that, Apart from the owner staff that could speak English would help. Hire a trained chef would improve the cooked breakfast and also provide food in the evening. Fixtures and fittings all reflect the Chinese owners heritage. The outside should be tidied up and has the start of an outdoor kitchen BBQ Smoker and microwave, but it’s surrounded by junk. As I say its attention to detail that’s lacking The breakfast we had was 1/2 hot and 1/2 lukewarm, but it was included in the price and at £78 for two people for one night make of this place as you will”

“Picked this place as it was on the way home from West Sussex, to break up the journey. Lovely and quirky pub/restaurant/inn with fab staff . Breakfast was served quickly and was delicious. Room was compact but sufficient for our needs - comfy bed and a/c. Great location near the river, perfect for post breakfast stroll. Would recommend!”

“Lovely welcome, superb choice at breakfast. Lovely old building beautifully decorated for Christmas.”

“The room's size is OK. The bed is really comfortable so I had a great night sleep. I like the free parking too. The breakfast is very simple but with all the basic choices. ”

“Only one big thing put me off at this place was a staff member begging me for a tip when i said no. It was really unpleasant how he kept asking when i already said no and then waited outside my door for a while even after i went inside. Shouldn’t be dealing with this sort of stuff at a nice hotel like this. Everything else was wonderful here for our Oxford trip. Thank you.”
