“This is the nicest hotel in the center of Kotka. Importantly, the hotel also has a total of three restaurants, which is unusual for a hotel in Finland. Much of the clientele are local, in addition to (mostly domestic) tourists, so the restaurants are quite busy at least during the busy summer season. We had both breakfast (included!) and dinner, and were happy with the offerings. The location is quite good, on one of the main streets in the center, with a 10 minute walk to the marina and the parks at the southern end of the island on which Kotka is built. Rooms are quite nice and modern, although not very large (which is typical of Finnish hotels.) Bathroom is very good, and TV is modern too.”
