“I recently stayed at the New Garden Hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was quite mixed. While the location of the hotel is fantastic and very convenient, there were several issues that made my stay less than ideal. First, the staff, especially at the reception and the breakfast area, seemed unprofessional and poorly trained. It was evident that many had not received proper hospitality training, with some even appearing to dislike their jobs. One particular staff member at breakfast was unfriendly to the point of being arrogant, which made the mornings unpleasant. That said, there were some positives. The security was strong, and I felt safe throughout my stay. The cleaning team did a good job – my room was clean, and I didn’t encounter any bugs, which is always a plus. However, the room maintenance left a lot to be desired. Several things in the room were broken or malfunctioning. The air conditioning unit, while functioning, was partially broken and blew cold air directly onto my face, which resulted in me developing a cough. The shower handle also kept falling off, and despite two attempts to fix it, the problem persisted throughout my stay. Lastly, I experienced issues with the toilet; twice, I couldn’t flush it, which was quite inconvenient and frustrating. Overall, I was left disappointed with my stay. While the location is excellent and the cleaning staff reliable, the lack of professionalism and room maintenance issues really detracted from my experience. Perhaps I just got unlucky with the room I was given, but I don’t think I’ll be returning to this hotel.”
