“We loved this hotel. Great bathrooms, great food in hotel and nearby. Staff is wonderful. Gorgeous two coves to choose from for ideal beach experiences a block away. Vibrant nightlife and friendly people everywhere. Enjoyed this far more than our time in PC all inclusive prisons. Definitely returning here”

“I recently stayed at the New Garden Hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was quite mixed. While the location of the hotel is fantastic and very convenient, there were several issues that made my stay less than ideal. First, the staff, especially at the reception and the breakfast area, seemed unprofessional and poorly trained. It was evident that many had not received proper hospitality training, with some even appearing to dislike their jobs. One particular staff member at breakfast was unfriendly to the point of being arrogant, which made the mornings unpleasant. That said, there were some positives. The security was strong, and I felt safe throughout my stay. The cleaning team did a good job – my room was clean, and I didn’t encounter any bugs, which is always a plus. However, the room maintenance left a lot to be desired. Several things in the room were broken or malfunctioning. The air conditioning unit, while functioning, was partially broken and blew cold air directly onto my face, which resulted in me developing a cough. The shower handle also kept falling off, and despite two attempts to fix it, the problem persisted throughout my stay. Lastly, I experienced issues with the toilet; twice, I couldn’t flush it, which was quite inconvenient and frustrating. Overall, I was left disappointed with my stay. While the location is excellent and the cleaning staff reliable, the lack of professionalism and room maintenance issues really detracted from my experience. Perhaps I just got unlucky with the room I was given, but I don’t think I’ll be returning to this hotel.”

“I had to cancel my stay at this hotel because of a winter storm in Canada that caused me to miss my flight to the Dominican Republic. They were kind enough to not charge the cost to my credit card.”

“To start with check in, they accept all card payments with 18% surcharge. So you need to bring some cash for check in if you don't want to pay surcharge. The hotel is far from the action centre that you can't walk. They don't have hot water to take shower. Water in the hotel has smell and it's sea water for daily usage and shower. All furniture and bathroom fittings are old and worn out. Bathroom has a sewage smell. Cleaning is not done everyday. Internet works fine here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. ”
