“Towels and sheets were very clean. Room was also clean. We stayed 2 nights. The mattress was TERRIBLE! Every side of the bed had a sink hole. We got a discount with Agoda when we booked. I would have been very disappointed if I had paid full price for this hotel.”

“Lovely staff, 2 star hotel, nice, but needs some TLC. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH AGODA , BOOKING. COM ETC. We did and found ourselves overbooked and kicked out for our final night. If we'd booked direct with the hotel, they told us this WOULD not happen! Sent an email, to agoda, explaining the situation, but they've never responded - so typical!!! ”

“Hotel Manuel Antonio is a good midrange option in Manuel Antonio with the major benefit that it is ocean front. The rooms are a bit sparse, but well kept, and the staff is friendly and responsive. The grounds of the property are well maintained and filled with flowers. The hotel is located in an excellent location, directly across the street from the beach and a 5 minute walk from, the entrance to the national park. There is also a great natural area immediately next to the hotel, beyond the end of the road, which is a great location for wildlife spotting. ”

“I have been to Manuel Antonio, many times, but this is my first time staying at the Verde mar.. I had a small studio with a microwave refrigerator and a coffee maker. It comes with a ceiling fan and an air conditioner and it also has a dehumidifier in the room that you should change the water twice a day to keep the room smelling fresh. The hotel has excellent staff and the location is right on the beach and just a few minutes walk down to the park and a number of very good restaurants. The bus will stop out in front if you want to go up the hill to other restaurants and stuff. It also has a swimming pool that the water is cooled to keep it refreshing and it’s pet friendly. The staff is more than willing to book any tours you would like to go on. A very charming place that’s reminiscent of the original Manuel Antonio atmosphere.”

“Booked a room for four, two double beds. Clean towels, 2 shampoos and conditioners and soaps provided. There’s an easy to use safe and fridge in the room. Best part was seeing monkeys and iguanas (and a cat) in the mornings. Worst part was the breakfast… and it was still “okay”. Bad bread, eggs, rice and beans and some fruit. It was included in the stay, so not complaining… but they could provide more of a selection. ”
