The property is in a beautiful, peaceful location within the Huanglongdong Scenic Area, surrounded by rice fields, a river and the spectacular Zhangjiajie mountains. It feels completely removed from the noise of the city. What made our experience truly special was the hospitality. Xiao Lv Ge, the main property manager, went above and beyond for us. He welcomed us with traditional Chinese tea, personally prepared in the traditional style. He also arranged our park tickets and transportation at very reasonable rates, which saved us a tremendous amount of time and hassle. The entire team was incredibly generous with food. They offered multiple times to cook meals for us and even prepared breakfast for us. We are strict vegans with additional dietary restrictions, so unfortunately we couldn’t eat food prepared in their kitchen, but we genuinely appreciated their kindness and effort. One of the biggest advantages for us was that our unit had its own kitchen and cooking amenities, so we were able to prepare the food we had brought with us. This was extremely convenient and would be particularly valuable for families or travelers with specific dietary requirements. Xiao Tian and Xiao Lu did a fantastic job with housekeeping. Everything was consistently clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, nice bedding and towels. The property itself has tremendous character — a traditional wooden heritage building with vintage furniture and an authentic atmosphere that you simply don’t get from a typical modern hotel. Communication was excellent as well. Xiao Lv Ge was extremely responsive on WeChat. Although he doesn’t speak English, this was never a problem. We used translation apps for our in-person conversations and communication was very smooth. The combination of the beautiful natural setting, unique traditional property and genuinely caring hospitality made this one of our most memorable stays in China. Highly recommended.
