“Location was excellent and felt very safe. The hotel itself has a nice vibe and aesthetic, and the room—while small—was manageable. Unfortunately, the shower experience significantly affected our stay. The rainfall shower head was faulty, with only a few holes working, resulting in very minimal water flow. On top of that, the water temperature fluctuated repeatedly from hot to cold throughout the shower before eventually stabilizing. When we raised this issue with the front desk, we were told there was nothing that could be done. There was also no air conditioning in the room. We requested a fan, which was provided, but it was extremely dirty. Shortly after using it, we both developed sore throats and felt close to getting sick, which we believe was due to the fan’s condition. Room lighting was adequate, and the staff overall was friendly and helpful. However, due to the issues above, the experience fell short of expectations.”

“I enjoyed my stay at Boutique 17. Beautiful view. Hotel set high on a hill which overlooks the ocean. I felt safe around the neighbourhood as a solo female traveller. Staff answered any questions I had and spoke English which was helpful for me. The room was clean and a wonderful rest while I was not feeling well. Only one thing is the water is split coming from the shower head but you could still have a decent shower from it. ”
