“AYCA La Flora was the perfect place to stay for our weekend in Valparaiso. We would have enjoyed staying even longer. It is spotless and well taken care of. Breakfast each morning was amazing- healthy and fresh. Annie (owner with her husband) was a thoughtful host, recommending some fun places to see. Catalina and Andres were also really helpful with logistics for buses, metro. All fun people who clearly love Valparaiso and enjoy helping guests love it too. Location has a great view of the harbor and is convenient to many excellent restaurants. As far as we’re concerned there is no better place to stay in Valparaiso. ”

“It was well we used a taxi after arriving in Valparaiso, as the hotel perches high atop the town. Checking in was effortless and Alex guided us around the tranquil spaces the hotel possesses. Beware of stairs, if they daunt you be sure to get a ground floor room. The high ceilings bedrooms were lovely; if we had managed a sea view room that would have iced the cake. Breakfast was lovely each morning. Having it on the top terrace made it even better. There are three relaxing terraces, with stellar views of the hillside suburbs, in all their vibrant colour. If this was not enough, the location is outstanding for walking the neighbourhood and enjoying the restaurants, cafes and bars. Recommended.”

“Old English house renovated to be this hotel. Nice art and design features, nice high ceilings and beds. Breakfast is large for days of walking the hills. Nearby to lots of great food and sites. Best thing though is the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the assistance with getting luggage up and down the entrance to the hotel. ”

“Very nice hostel in a safer neighbourhood. Rooms were nice and clean. No aircon, but keeping windows open at night was enough (even in the summer). There were many bathrooms. The only thing I would wish for is to have curtains in the beds :) laundry was cheap!”

“The property is very clean. The rooms are simple but completely adequate. The staff is beyond helpful. The location is great. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Just a nice place to stay.”
