“I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, and I am sharing this publicly so others can make an informed decision before booking. My wife and I were driving to Hotel Aves Arosa when our journey turned into a nightmare. The roads leading to this property are poorly lit, riddled with steep hairpin bends, and partially closed. By 1:30 a.m., after more than four hours of attempting to reach the hotel, we were involved in a road accident. We were stranded, shaken, and my wife was in a state of panic. Reaching the hotel was simply no longer possible. I provided full documentation of the accident. I proved we made every possible effort to get there. None of it mattered. The hotel hides behind an 11-day cancellation policy — a policy so rigid and unreasonable that it offers guests zero protection even in life-threatening situations. An accident does not give you 11 days' notice. An emergency does not schedule itself. And a hotel that responds to a documented road accident with a flat refusal is a hotel that has no business calling itself a hospitality provider. There was no compassion, no flexibility, no acknowledgment of what we went through. Just a policy, repeated coldly. The roads to this property are genuinely dangerous at night — that alone should be a warning to any driver. But the bigger warning is this: if anything goes wrong, do not expect this hotel to treat you like a human being. Stay elsewhere. Book elsewhere. This place does not deserve your trust or your money.”
