“The hotel was lovely fresh and clean, the location was fantastic, the food and beverages fabulous, what let this stay down was the staff. Apart from our waiter at dinner who was amazing, none of the other staff were very welcoming or seemed very happy to be in their jobs. A little smile goes a long way. Frome the reception staff to the bar staff it was a let down. Would be stay again ? Unsure as its the little things like a pleasant interaction with staff that really make a nice stay and we have to say the staff really let's this hotel down.”

“I stayed at Mercure Tamworth for one night with other half and children. Great sized room/s. We had 2 single beds and 2 double beds. Of great benefit was the fact we had 3 separate rooms for each of the beds. Bathroom was monstrous, but on the negative side there was no tub. One really convenient thing about the room was the nearby bottle shop. You can just use the adjoining club for a drink but we wanted a quiet night in. Plenty of soap, shampoo provided plus your standard kettle, wi-fi and 3 big screen TVs. ”

“A comfortable stopover at a reasonable price with clean rooms. Of Tamworth’s plethora of 80’s motels, for an overnighter, we were greeted with a smile, a basic room and a surprisingly comfy bed! ”

“The location is great & close to the heart of town. Intriguing old style hotel/pub. Shared facilities may not suit everyone & the room was quite small. I probably wouldn't stay there as a couple again but certainly would as a solo traveller. Parking was a little confusing but we sorted it. The young lady who assisted was very helpful & friendly.”
