River Hill Lodge

We found this a great place for the weekend. Some of the facilities like the decking up to the bar need maintenance. We needed to book and order in advance to make use of the restaurant which we weren't told at the start. The food was delicious though and moses was a great chef. The fishing trips were wonderful and we really enjoyed Dyllans input and skills. We will probably be back one day

Very comfortable chalet ideal for my business stopover and to combine with local activities Staff very friendly but resources seem limited, fishing guide doubles as barman, one chef who acts as waiter, etc. As a result services are limited, can’t get guided fishing along bank if guide has boat booking, cannot do advertised sunset cruise if boat is booked for fishing excursion, etc Seems like lodge has recently changed ownership and intent is to expand on these key resources that customers would expect Overall, I intend to return to a lovely peaceful location in the bush with amazing views, bar and dining area should be combined to utilise the fantastic view from the hill overlooking the river!
