세레니티 두 보아 로지

사실 홀로 여행자이고 크로거국립공원 내부 캠핑장에 있다보니 피곤해서 공원밖에 가까운 숙소에 아무런 기대없이 잠 자고 샤워하고 나갈려고 예약했는데 맙소사 숙소가 너무 깨끗하고 자연친화적이었음 천정도 높고 바로 베란다에는 화덕도 있고 임팔라가 앞에 다니고. 저녁을 나가 사먹으려다가 베란다가 너무 좋아서 가까운 spar가서 스테이크 사다 구어먹음 아침도 베란다에서 동물들 보면서 먹고. 집 너무 깨끗하고 화장실도 깨끗. 그런데 최고는 집 주인인 Bernadette 이분 세상에 이렇게 친절하게 맞아주시는 분은 처음봄 정말 그냥 바로 친구가 될수 있는 분 공용주방도 설명해주시면서 편하게 쓰고 설겆이 하지 말고 놔두면 된다. 개인 냉장고도 배정해주고 하여튼 계속 말하긴 그런데 그냥 너무 친절하고 따뜻한 호스트였음 Since I was traveling solo and felt quite exhausted after staying at a campsite inside Kruger National Park, I booked a place near the park entrance with zero expectations—just looking for a place to sleep and shower. My goodness, it turned out to be exceptionally clean and beautifully integrated with nature. The high ceilings were fantastic, and the veranda featured a built-in braai (fire pit) where Impalas were freely roaming right in front of me. I had originally planned to go out for dinner, but the veranda was so wonderful that I went to a nearby Spar, bought some steak, and grilled it right there. Having breakfast on the veranda while watching the wildlife was equally amazing. The entire house and bathroom were immaculate. The absolute highlight, however, was the host, Bernadette. I have never experienced such a warm and friendly welcome in my life—she is the kind of person you instantly feel like you've known forever. She kindly showed me around the shared kitchen, telling me to use everything comfortably and to leave the dishes for her to wash. She even assigned a personal refrigerator space for me. I could go on and on, but in short, she is simply the most accommodating and heart-warming host you could ever ask for.

Bernadette is a lovely host who takes great care of her lodge & guests. Every room has its own refrigerator in the shared kitchen & a kettle in room for cafe/tea. My shower had very good water pressure and ample hot water. The lodge is very close to the fence line with the crocodile river, which makes wonderful walks with a spectacular views of the wildlife in Kruger.

We loved the place. The host made us alert about every situation around the area so that we take safety precautions.

We loved our last minute stay at Serenity lodge. Bernadette was very welcoming and helpful. She upgraded my father’s room without asking and made us all feel very comfortable. The lodge is located in a reserve where the animals are very tame so they will approach you and you can feed them pellets that are sold in the market. We look forward to staying again the next time we are on safari.
