In November 2019 I got married and I booked san lameer for my honeymoon the stay was amazing and beautiful words couldnot describe how perfect it was and the food was amazing i literally told all of my family members and friends I've been looking forward to visit the resort again. We have finally saved up and decided to visit San lameer again for my birthday which was the 27 of January 2024 however the scenery was still beautiful but the dinner service was so poor words couldnot describe it. When we entered for dinner a lady escorted us to our table and advise we should scan the barcode on the table to viwe the menu so we did its hard looking at a menu from our phones when we looked around we saw other guests got menus on they table and they was ordering of a hard copy menu however it was my birthday and my wife said don't stress im sure the food will be amazing like the last time. We have ordered starts which was very average so we said lets wait for the mains we both ordered the T bone stakes and we literally got 3 peaces of small chops which we have pictures of. I than spoke to the waiter and advised her this is chops and not steak and she advised I told you so (which she did not) very rudely. however I was not going to ruin my holiday and birthday also pointed out that there was only fat on the meat as she advised thats how it comes so I kept quiet and had my supper cause we was very hungry and there was not other take out near us.when we went back to our room my wife was vomiting the whole night and in the morning part which we presume it was the food. We left San lameer and arrived back in durban so I took her to the doctors which they advised if was the food that gave her an upset tummy hence the reason for vomiting. I would never recommend San lameer again the receptionist was very friendly but the food and the dinner service was really bad and I honestly do not think I will visit this place any more. Please note this is just my review and not looking for anything free. My bill for dinner was 1000 even though I had a bad experience I never complained I gladly paid with still tipping the waiter and walk straight to my room with great disappointment
