Exceptional customer service. Mr Bayu dan the team are helpful and very polite. The room is compact & basic (big bed, towel, prayer mat, small ceiling fan, combined shoe and rack with few hanger) but clean, comfortable and smells good - value for the price Located in shops and residential area and super near to Aur Kuning Terminal, intercity bus station where you can take busses to Padang, Istana Pagar Ruyung and other nearby district with cheaper fare (25,000 IDR). It's 3km from city centre but there are GoJek motorcyle (Grab-like service) at the terminal. Most importantly, as a solo female traveler, i do feel safe staying at this hostel and the neighboring. * The toilet is clean but there is room for improvement. It do smell weird, maybe the drainage problem.

The hostel is fine and has everything you need. The bathrooms and rooms are quite clean. The rooms are really small, so we chose one with bunk beds to have a bit more space. Luckily, we got one with a window! The bathrooms are simple but okay, with soap and shampoo provided. The hostel is full of locals, including families with kids. Every morning around 6am (we stayed for 4 nights), we were woken up by kids screaming, running in the corridors, and people talking loudly without much consideration for the early hour. The mosque is very close, so you can hear the call for the prayer very well! The hostel provide also motorbike for rent, free water coffee and tea available. There is also the rooftop which is nice but the wifi is working only at the ground floor and 1st floor. The reception staff doesn’t speak English very well, but they do their best to help.
