The reception is only manned in the morning from around 08.00 until 13.00 and as we were not due to arrive until after 16.00 the host’s communication was excellent. We received an email with clear directions and passcodes to access the premises and our room. We were slightly surprised that our room was semi basement and had no window but it was cool and comfortable and a good size so for a one night stop this was not a problem. If you were staying longer you might want to request a room slightly higher up that would have a window, we had room 101. That said, we couldn’t fault the room. The beds were comfortable, the bed linen was a good quality and the pillows were great. The bathroom was spacious and the water pressure for the shower was excellent, the toiletries provided were very nice as were the soft fluffy towels. There was a mini (tiny) fridge in the room which was efficient for cold drinks. The pool and terrace were delightful. We went to a local supermarket in the village and bought some salad items and sat outside on the hotel’s terrace later in the evening to eat. The views are wonderful and after sunset the beautiful surrounding buildings are floodlit which made for some lovely photos. We only saw a member of staff early the following morning when we were departing and they needed to check our documentation for tourist purposes. There is adequate parking right outside which was a bonus. We would definitely stay again if we were in the vicinity.
