場所も、分かりやすく、安価で親切でした。

I came late on night and my phone's battery was dead. I found Lawson and bought a charger for my phone. So I could contact the owner. So I went to wrong place and had to walk another 13 minutes under the rain. Finally I could enter the house and my room. Thank you for your instructions and facility. It was small room but just enough for me to stay a few days. It is pretty close to Ohtsu train station and there are many restaurants around. Good location and good price. I enjoyed my own room even shared bathroom and toilet. I may come back again.

Overall nice stay just off the lake in Otsu with easy access to Kyoto by train. Self-check-in process was easy and while I did not meet staff in person they were very responsive to messages. Less of a traditional hostel, more of a large room with beds - bedroom, kitchen, and toilets/showers were all interconnected, which could lead to noise/light transmission at night. Each bed was equipped with a nice privacy curtain. An excellent place to spend the night, though perhaps not for those who are seeking the social aspects of a hostel.
