Very good peaceful relaxing beautiful scenery

A motel style solution that is feeling a bit run down. Close to a petrol station which had lots of noise throughout the night, but the view from the accommodation looking onto the river was beautiful.

After booking to hotel rooms on Agoda, for two adults and 2 minors, we arrived at the property to be told that we had to pay additional fees for the kids. When booking on Agoda, my search was for 2 adults and 2 kids, or why would I require 2 rooms. After paying more, and we checked in, while unpacking the car I noticed a very large green snake, at the bottom of the staircase. I brought this to the managers attention who had a response of " if we see it again we might call a snake catcher", the snake was definitely venomous, and I found out that it had been seen by children earlier on the same day. Very irresponsible as there were many children on the property. I had booked for 6 nights, but we packed up and left after 2, due to the property management who does not manage there own policies of no loud noise. A group played music right through the night. Did not feel safe, even when going to nearby beaches only to see witch doctors slaughtering a goat in the ocean right next to where people and children were playing. We just packed up and left, pointless staying for the full period, as after asking the group making a noise to please keep it down, my wife just got verbally and racially bombarded by stupid comments from these drunk individuals. The accommodation was basic, way over priced and definitely needs an upgrade. As plumbing was an issue when showering. Considering the state of the town of Port St John's, the whole place is run down, and needs a do over.
