A mid week away
My wife and I stayed at The Shore House for a midweek break, checking in on Tuesday and heading home on Thursday. We arrived a little early, but the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick, they explained everything clearly, and even asked what we'd like for breakfast, giving us a few options to choose from. Our room was clean, neat, and had a beautiful view overlooking the dam. It included a mini fridge, kettle, cups, teaspoons, coffee, tea, and sugar, a comfortable king-size bed, air conditioning, and a smart TV—everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The only minor issues we had were that the air conditioner remote needed new batteries, and the bedside lamp wasn't plugged in, so I had to move the bed to plug it in. You can also see that a few areas around the property could do with a fresh coat of paint, but these were only small things. The walls are a little thin, if you know what I mean 😉. Some guests aren't always as considerate as others, but that's something the owners can't really control. Thankfully, everything became nice and quiet after 10 p.m. Breakfast was simple but just the right amount, with eggs, bacon, toast, baked beans, and tomato. It was fresh and very tasty. Another big plus was that we could come and go as we pleased, and the property felt safe and secure throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend The Shore House to anyone looking for a comfortable bed and breakfast with beautiful views and friendly service. We'd happily stay there again.

The Shorehouse is a beautiful hotel with excellent quality and staff. Views are amazing in the rooms, at the pool and especially down by the boathouse. 3 nights of a good stay and great service.

The view from my room (top floor)was beautiful The room was big 🥰 My son could move around I could see all angles of the dam The room was clean and beautiful They had only one blanket No shower cap you must bring your own The pool was beautiful too The stuff was so nice I wish the towels were white though The breakfast was nice but we didn’t have a cappuccino option and I which we had a fruit salad too
