Premier Hotel and Spa Cullinan

Location is perfect, staff is very friendly. Very clean though the bathroom floor need some repairs and breakfast service is very slow

They are minimal

We were excited to book a suite at the hotel for 1 night. 21-22 September 2024. I opted for the suite option and we were given suite 16. At 6pm, after we had dinner, we were about to take a bath due to the terrible cold, but had no water. We notified the reception desk and we were advised to wait until 8pm, as repair work had been done to the room above and the geyser needed time to get warm. 8pm came, and we did indeed have hot water. At 4am, we were woken to gushing sounds of water. Upon investigation, the room next to us was flooding with water from the room above. Our room also had water streaming from the light fittings and down the wall. Even the reception area was flooded. Due to concerns about the structural integrity of the ceiling and potential fire issues due to the water streaming from the light fittings, we decided to leave at around 04:30 this morning. I have photos and videos of the experience. We obviously didn't have the breakfast that was included in our booking fee and what was supposed to be a peaceful break, turned into a terrible experience. Also, the air-conditioning in the room was faulty and didn't warm up, so our room was icy.

Reception : The lady in question, not sure of her name, but you know who is very rude. On Saturday when I got there after meeting you earlier, I was met by this very rude woman. She tells me my room not ready, and was overall looking very annoyed that I was disturbing her. She was busy playing on her mobile, and did not give me time of day. In terms of her knowledge of the hotel, activities and general simple questions, she was completely clueless. 1. She did not know what time the places closed on Oak Avenue. 2. She did not know anything about the restaurant menu 3. She did not any history about the hotel 4. She could not understand simple questions As a prominent historical building in the area, you should look into the people you employ and give proper training. Room: Our room was nice. Lovely touch with the rose petals. On the negative side, our bathroom was disgusting. We had mold all over the walls at the bottom and around the rims. This is something that should be treated before it gets worse House keeping: I was disappointing with the fact that we had to ask for a extra bath towel, as housekeeping only left use 2 hand towels and 1 bath towel. For me this is a simple part of ones job. I mean we waited patiently for our room, only for it not to be properly stocked. Same goes for the complimentary teas/coffees. Our little box did not have any coffee, and we had to ask for some to be brought up. Restaurant: We had Brian as our server. He is honestly a breath of fresh air. Definitely an asset and a keeper. We had dinner on Saturday at the restaurant. My Chicken alfredo was terrible. The pasta was over cooked, stodgy. It was oily and the sauce was thickened to much. I don’t think your night chef is very good. As our server advised us against ordering the chicken livers, because he said that the chef did not know how to make it. He advised that we order it in the morning and we did at breakfast. It was divine Breakfast was nice. Service however

The Royal Suite is classified as the most luxurious of the available rooms. It appears though, that this room has had a high volume of visitors, and now requires some maintenance in terms of repairing fixtures and the bathroom floor. It would be very nice for the bar fridge to be stocked with at least two complimentary refreshments, and what happened to the complimentary welcoming sherry? Notwithstanding, the reception staff are kind and helpful, and accommodated our request for a later breakfast to be served. I thoroughly enjoy the ambiance of an hotel from time gone by.
