매너 하우스 호텔

The Manor House is a lovely small hotel. It's in the heart of Holy Island/Lindisfarne. It can be a bit daunting to drive to during the day as the island is very busy, but there is parking in the pub/hotel itself - we found a space easy enough. It quietens down once the tide comes in. The room is nice, cute but a little small. Perfectly clean. Includes a fabulous breakfast which catered for vegan options.

Stayed 3 years on the trot now and every occasion they had run out of butter (why do they never order more 🤔) Had to ask everyday for breakfast items that had run out, never seemed to have enough staff . Waited till past 6pm for clean towels. So a few niggles and irritations and it was expensive to stay. However staff were lovely and always tried to resolve issues. Had fantastic evening meals - stonebass and King Prawn and Chorizo linguine. Both delicious.

Lovely place to stay, staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, food not good, poor quality and unfortunately some items stone cold, overpriced

As I entered through the door marked hotel entrance I walked in to hear noise in the bar, so I popped my head around to attract someone's attention, but it appeared I was invisible. It wasn't until I rang the bell that the barman came over and said the lady was in the office and would be down soon. It seemed like I was stood there for ages. When she did come I was given my keys and I found my room only to discover that I didn't have the bathroom I thought I was having. It was across the hallway. If I had known this prior to booking I wouldn't have booked. Travelling alone I prefer a bathroom in my room. The room view was amazing and the bed very comfy. I didn't eat in the restaurant. The breakfast room could have done with a little background music to soften the silence. The tables were set with a knife and fork and folded napkin. You helped yourself to continental style items and then ordered the cooked breakfast. I had a veggie breakfast with 2 delicious plenty of yolk eggs, which was perfect. Salt and pepper appeared absent. As I was leaving the barman was chatting to other departing guests and said the island was perfect cos it had no children . WRONG. He said he had been there over 2 years. I don't know where he had been because there is a fair number of children on the island. As a frequent visitor this made me feel quite cross as that bit of information was totally untrue. Overall it was reasonable, a bit overpriced due to being on the island, more careful attention to cleaning would be useful and a lick of paint also useful too.

Such friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Enjoyed our stay very much.
