Ok, but maybe try local homestays
Negatives: no tea tray in my room (a mistake, not the norm), shallow bath, boring decor, wi fi not free, long walk to room from reception. Positives: affordable during teh week, very comfy beds and extra pillows, TV reception good, check out not until 12pm, family rooms priced the same irrespective of number of people staying (up to 4 per room). Two resident peacocks parade around the building year after year and all seasons and are well looked after by staff, Asda garage a stone's throw away with good variety of food and alcohol to cheer you up as you stare at the blue and grey walls and the view of a police station from the window (or a grassy hill or carpark of you're really lucky). Having said that, sometimes the peacocks come to your window which is a bit special to be fair. And they are frendly (? hungry).

Excellent
We just needed a bed for a couple of nights whilst doing the zip line. The room was clean but dated and in need of minor maintenance. Bed was comfortable, and there was unlimited tea and coffee available. Stayed three nights and it was very quiet. The staff were friendly. Would use again.
