I recently stayed in the King Size En-Suite at the Black Lion Hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The location is absolutely stunning—nestled in a picturesque setting that offers both tranquility and charm. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The room itself was immaculate. Spacious, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable king-size bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, from the crisp linens to the modern en-suite facilities. What truly set the experience apart was the staff. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their friendliness and professionalism added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with top-notch hospitality, the Black Lion Hotel is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be returning.

I stayed for 3 nights for work The staff were lovely The Welsh breakfast was amazing The room is very clean with everything you could need and a great powerful shower The meals were tasty and as described My room was over the pool table, so was quite loud if people are in the room until late, but it was only on one night and it is an old building so part of the charm,

Lovely people wonderful food back next year

Stayed for one night whilst visiting family in the area. Room was comfortable and clean. Only small disappointment was that, after seeing the pictures online and looking forward to a few drinks and few games of pool, we discovered that there isn’t actually a pool table there: bit misleading.
