A very friendly family run hotel it's a little isolated but that is more than made up for by the quality and value of the hotel the food was good and breakfast was very satisfying. It's a little dated in the decor and some of the facilities need a revamp . But nothing serious,a good value friendly small hotel. Will definitely revisit when in the area next time.

I stayed for 2 nights while I underwent some 4x4 off road training in the area. Perfect location for travelling to various off road activities. The staff at The George Borrow tailored my stay there. I had to leave early the first morning, so without prompting, they offered a breakfast baguette as part of a goodie bag of food for me so I can take on my travels. This was so good i used it for both breakfast and lunch for the next day. This was excellent. Ample parking, and easy access to the rear of the hotel to bring in gear that I had from the truck. Lovely bar area with an open fire which was a great feeling as I travelled down through a storm. Quick and easy check out process. I'd use this place again for my next mid wales off road adventures. Thanks staff at the George Borrow for hosting me (and also my 4x4 friend too, who also got his breakfast goodie bag!)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are clean and tidy with everything you require. It’s a lovely oldie worldy hotel ( love it) run by a family and they are the ones made our stay special Breakfast was hot and plentiful and well cooked We ate dinner here both nights, and there was a nice choice of food and it was all fresh and well priced. They really couldn’t do enough for you, and we will definitely be returning If you happen to be bikers, they have a lovely large barn to store your bikes overnight and they even have a drying room if you get wet really cannot fault this hotel

We have stayed here a couple of times in the winter as we have motorcycles across Wales. Hotel is comfortable, food is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend.

Lovely old house ,large rooms with beautiful views of mountains , very cheerful staff , only had one night stay mainly to go to red kyte feeding station just down the road , all good. Breakfast cooked to order ,best bacon ever 👍would definitely recommend for a homely stay.
